I just watched Dennis Millers stand-up. Funny stuff. What do you think of his political views?

After watching it, I really had to rethink my political ideas. Even though they were jokes, he made some strong points. You could tell that he even ment some of them.I just watched Dennis Millers stand-up. Funny stuff. What do you think of his political views?
Pre 9/11 Dennis Miller was hilarious. Post 9/11 he got a little bit scary in his anti-Muslim, pro-war rhetoric.I just watched Dennis Millers stand-up. Funny stuff. What do you think of his political views?
He is very funny and very smart.

NBA Poll: Dennis Rodman vs. Reggie Miller?

who would you take first?NBA Poll: Dennis Rodman vs. Reggie Miller?
i would take dennis rodman over reggie miller,

dennis rodman a great defensive player, great rebounder, better free throw shooter then shaq,

reggie is a great player and a great perimeter shooter, no doubt, only problem is you can stop or slow down a great shooter like reggie who lives on the perimeter shot, he wasn't a good slasher to the basket, dennis wouldn't really have a problem guarding reggie, rodman guarded jordan before and did well against him!

reggie will have his ';where amazing happens'; but he will be slowed down and eliminated!NBA Poll: Dennis Rodman vs. Reggie Miller?
Who made 6 points in 5 seconds? Reggie Miller! The greatest three point shooter of all time!

Answer.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
reggie miller is the greatest shooter of all time.

the worm is the best rebounder of all time.

i would have to say reggie because of the distractions
Im a bulls fan so i would take rodman for his defesne and rebounding alone if nothing else, but reggie is the overall better player and a better pick, but my biased pick would still be rodman
Whoever picks Rodman is a idiot! Reggie is a FRANCHISE PLAYER while Rodman isn't even a 3rd Option.
That is a very hard question

They were both very good

(Being a bulls fan ill have to go with RODMAN)

(but reggie miller was a great player)
Rodman

  • Micheal Jordan, Dennis Robman, Scooty Pippin, Reggie Miller or Charles Barkly?

Micheal Jordan all the way for me, not that the other guys are not good, but Michael Jordan is my pickMicheal Jordan, Dennis Robman, Scooty Pippin, Reggie Miller or Charles Barkly?
Mike is kingMicheal Jordan, Dennis Robman, Scooty Pippin, Reggie Miller or Charles Barkly?
Michael Jordan for here as well.
Michael...no one will match him.... then comes Charles Barkley in 2nd in my opinion
Reggie Miller. He is so good at making clutch plays. And even until his last season his body was very fit.
I would think you would have picked Reggie Miller, since his name was the only one you spelled right.
Jordan. By the way- this is a horribly asked question, and you spelled half the names wrong.
    jordan
    I agree, Micheal Jordan, definately.

Texlady, break down the sentence to its FEWEST components: he's one who has read every edition. Where is the term people? Since it is part of that preposition, you can ignore it!

I disagree. The ';have'; is for ';people'; not ';one,'; and therefore correct.
    The first letter should be capitalized. ';He figures...';

Whose politcal humor is funnier: Bill Maher, Jon Stewart or Dennis Miller?

Also, have you ever been influenced by any political commentary that one of these comedians has made?Whose politcal humor is funnier: Bill Maher, Jon Stewart or Dennis Miller?
They're all pretty funny but i think Miller is the funniest. Of course they don't influence me, they are just dopey comedians..Whose politcal humor is funnier: Bill Maher, Jon Stewart or Dennis Miller?
Dennis Miller is the biggest whiner weenie in the freaking WORLD. A hundred years ago on Saturday Night Live he was funny - guess that's cause somebody was writing for him.

There's no question that Jon Stewart is the funniest, but frankly I think he's too damn nice.

Maher has balls. Plus he's funny.

Do they ';influence'; me? No, I don't watch them often or regularly enough. Actually, *I* am the one influencing THEM, since their comedy plays off of what is happening in society.

    You know, you and me.
I love Jon Stewart, but I think he pulls his punches a little too much sometimes.....Bill Maher is usually right on and brutal.....I used to like Dennis Miller, until he became a whore for the right.....
I'd say Bill Maher is the funniest, regardless that he is an arsssshole.

He would not seem so funny if his audience was not loaded with liberal shills who will laugh at anythig he says.

But beyound that sometimes he can be really funny!
Miller has more low-key sophisticated comedy. It's not slap-stick or in your face. It would be hard to compare. There's not a thing funny about Maher.
None of the above...Stephen Colbert is my favorite, with his deadpan satire and parody of Bill O'Reilly. And no, he doesn't influence me, he just makes me laugh about how easily others are influenced.
Dennis Miller is the funniest, Jon Stewart is good, but Bill Maher, he stinks, Conan is much better.
Dennis Miller? He was only vaguely funny in the 80's, now he's as funny as a blockage in the heart!

What about the late great George Carlin?
Maher isn't funny at all. Miller and Stewart are both hillarious, though I'm partial to Miller (for both political reasons, and I just like his highbrow style a bit more). Colbert is great too.
All three are kind of dry. Bill Maher and Dennis Miller cancel each other out, so I think we're left with Stewart.

    Colbert however is quite funny.
My Fave is Dennis Miller - and no I would never be influenced by political commentary from a comedian, or news commentator.
Maher totally sucks. Stewart sucks a little. Miller is great.
    Stewart %26gt; Maher%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;鈥?Miller.
    I like Dennis Miller, personally.
Jon Stewart is very funny, I think.
    John Stewart

    No
Bill Maher is an idiot, he is just a liberal lapdog.

Jon Stewart tries too hard be funny, and spends too little time on research. He is, at least, open minded enough to call out his own party.

Dennis Miller pushes the mental limit of every listener, that is why libs find it hard to follow along. If you listen, you can tell his program to be well thought out and researched. Although I don't always agree with Dennis, he is too moderate for my tastes on some subjects, he makes more sense then the other 2.

Edit/// Some of these answers show the liberal ';mentality';. Dennis Miller was funny when he was making fun of conservative, but now that he making fun of liberals, he is not funny anymore. Maher doesn't have to make sense or be funny, as long as he drops F bombs directed towards conservatives. Just goes to show, libs are only in favor of free speech as long as it isn't being used against them. Here is some free speech for you, liberalism is for idiots and morons!
It depends on my mood. Dennis Miller's humor is more cerebral, and if you're tired or grumpy it just doesn't fit. When he's on he's brilliant, but when he's off he's unwatchable. Jon Stewart can be extremely funny, but it's definitely comedy for the masses. A lot of his jokes are extremely juvenile, and are the political equivalent of a fart joke. I don't find Bill Maher funny. He's like Carlos Mencia. Even though he COULD be funny he seems to bring a very hostile, belligerent attitude. It doesn't seem like he wants to be funny. So stuff that Dave Chapelle does is hilarious, while the same basic jokes told by Carlos Mencia fall flat. Instead of poking fun he's trying to hurt. And I don't find that funny. Bill Maher is the same way.

Jon Stewart makes me laugh more consistently, although Dennis Miller makes me laugh harder. So I guess it's a tossup. And no, neither of them has ever influenced my political views.

And although many people don't even know who he is, Henry Rollins has some EXTREMELY funny (and smart) political commentary. Both on his show and his spoken word series.

What would the maindtream media's reaction be if Dennis Miller had said he wishes Obama had kidney failure?

It would have been treated as a scandal of epic proportions. He would have been lambasted as being a hate-monger, inhuman, and the epitome of poor taste.

Of course, since it was a leftist who wished such a thing on Rush Limbaugh, all is right with the world. Pathetic. What would the maindtream media's reaction be if Dennis Miller had said he wishes Obama had kidney failure?
It would be considered a raciest remark.I was called raciest because I didnt agree with Obama on many issues. The left will slander who they dont like.If I simply disagree with Obama I am labeled a raciest.Leftest want to have their cake and eat it too. What would the maindtream media's reaction be if Dennis Miller had said he wishes Obama had kidney failure?
They would crucify him. The left gets away with murder again. Rush Limbaugh is a great patriot and a source of support and entertainment for millions of hard working Americans who are suffering under 0bama's oppression. That's the real reason why the liberals want him dead. He stands strong against the communist take over
Well thats your opinion I don't think Dennis Miller would have been lambasted to the proportions you predicted. First of all Rush Limbaugh is a drug addict and racist while Obama is our commander and chief, Obama is a lot more important then a loser talk radio host who spews lies and deceit to fool idiot conservatives.
miller, aside from gaffing the language at times,'spefecicity';,';outer perimeter';,is funny, usually amiable with callers,,,,,disagreements don't result in his calling the guy a liar,,,unless the goof goes all conspiratorial,,,,he gives barack obama respect for his humanity, cute family, office, the achievement a striving smart black guy in the white house,,,,,,that remark was low,,,mighty lowww
Thankfully Lush is not our President, and therein lies the difference...you are confusing a two-bit entertainer with a POTUS, and it is there your analogy falls apart.

Plus ';pathetic'; more aptly refers to ND football.
    1...Dennis Miller is a washed-up comedian. He isn't funny.

2..You're comparing a hate-filled commentator to the President of the United States. Nice try, but no comparison
The double standard is, of course, quite blatant. But you gotta admit -- it sure is fun to watch the lefties parse and dance around it... with twisted logic that you couldn't blow past your average 9 year old
rush limbaugh is a fat nazi. obama is our president. apples and oranges my friend.
Obama doesn't preach hate on a daily basis. Rush does. Those who preach hatred get it in return.
Dennis Miller is a has-been, and would have been treated as such.
So what you are saying is that the fat guy is equal to our President? Maybe you compare it to saying Keith Oberman or something
Not a big fan of Dennis Miller -but I would consider the source .
He would be found dead in Ft. Marcy park of an apparent suicide.
duhh, the joke only works because Rush said it first

its a ';how would you feel'; joke
    hes smart
that is what we all wished for jerry faust.
Sure, just like when Limpo accused Michael J Fox of exaggerating his Parkinson's.

Rush is such a poor little victim.

Fox said he didn't take his meds because they exaggerate the movements. That type of medication eases the locked muscles of Parkinsons that make the walking so diffficult.

My grandmother had Parkinsons so I know what the meds do.

Fox has a very serious case, and Lippo hasn't any reason to make fun of someones illness.

Then too, Obama is president of the US, and Limpo is a radio guy who gets off on tearing the rest of the world apart if they disagree with him. Limbo makes a poor victim.
the Liberal bias in this country is appalling. Everything Conservative is the most extreme, hateful, and unflattering coverage, and the Liberals can do whatever they want. Why was Diane Feinstein's corruption never even mentioned on ABC, CBS, or NBC? Is that because it really doesn't matter or because she is getting a Free pass?

    http://www.buffalonews.com/246/story/667鈥?/a>

How did they read that so quickly? My point exactly. The liberals could care less about the truth. It's all rhetoric and emotion. We are done as a nation! You people contribute to the theft of tax dollars and therefore CAUSE poverty with your ignorance.

    http://sadbastards.wordpress.com/2007/05鈥?/a>
It'd be hilarious if he said that he wishes Tony Kornheiser would have kidney failure.

Political Humor - who do you think is funnier Stephen Colbert or Dennis Miller?

    I love them both!

    Colbert

MillerPolitical Humor - who do you think is funnier Stephen Colbert or Dennis Miller?
    Stephen Colbert! Hands Down.

Dennis was the best back in the 80's to mid 90's. But Colbert is #1 now IMHO.

I'll always love Miller too!Political Humor - who do you think is funnier Stephen Colbert or Dennis Miller?
I'm sure that the answers will be divided along sectarian lines (liberal/conservative).

I like them both, but Dennis Miller's humor is intelligent where Steve Colbert's leaves the impression of intelligence. He's more slapstick, IMHO.

Liberals probably like Colbert better because they get his jokes. Conservatives actually understand what Dennis Miller is saying.
Stephen Colbert normally. The Colbert Report is really funny. I don't hear much from Dennis Miller anymore.
Colbert. Miller just throws obscure references around, says ';cha-cha';, and when you compound it with the visual/sound effects as Fox has been doing, it's worse than Carrottop. Colbert flawlessly executes a persona. Not only is his character well played, but it's politically relevant, and stands as a comment on the crazy Morton Downey Jresque world of cable news.
Colbert has a drier wit, but back in the day - before Millers 9-11 conversion - he was one of the hottest political comedians. And, he was a better writer than Colbert.
    BOTH ROCK!!!!!!
Dennis Miller is both the funniest %26amp; smartest person on TV. He wins in a landslide.
    I never listened to either.

    I don't now.
I used to love Dennis Miller back oin the SNL and Dennis Miller Live days. I think he lost his ';edge'; though, when he chose sides and stopped being an equal-opportunity insulter. Colbert wins.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong
I like them both, but I lean a bit more toward Miller.

My real favorite is Bill Maher--he just makes me laugh so.

And to be really technical about it, my man George Carlin started it all--creating humor out of real life...love him.
    Colbert tells the truth

while Miller just lies like the

    true Republican that he is...

    No wonder Bill O'LIElly worships

    the grounds Miller spits on!
It's amazing that some idiots would rate these answers as if they were right or wrong. If someone thinks Miller is funnier they get a negative rating? Wow, if you have no tolerance for someone else's opinion on this subject, you really are a small minded little ****.
    for our; Orhan Pamuk
    Colbert. I love him!
    colbert, it's not even close.
I would have to say Stephen Colbert. I watch The Colbert Report regularly and think he's very funny.
    colbert.

I've never been a fan of dennis. now carlin and maher have me rolling on the floor.
    Colbert.
Colbert by a long shot Miller's rants are getting weaker by the day and Jon Daly blows them both away

And yes I mean John Daly the golfer that is one funny redneck, I love watching him implode year in year out
    Dennis Miller
Stephen Colbert is funner and more relevant that Mister weekend anchor, Dennis Miller.
