Do you agree with Dennis Miller?

I was listening to the Dennis Miller radio show a couple of minutes ago and he was talking about Saddam Hussein, but he said ';Barack...ishouldnthavesaidthat Saddam Hussein';. Wow, what a slip-up. it really ticks me off. What do you guys think about that? Also, he said that the ';best thing for America to do right now is to leave public education to reading, writing, and 'rithmetic and make everything else available after school optionally for the families to pay for.'; I TOTALLY disagree with tha. WHat do you guys think and do you see a point in this? I'm NEVER listening to him agian. blehDo you agree with Dennis Miller?
not at all!

There are more to key/essential studies than that. What about history %26amp; the sciences. We do need to focus on education... but we should not limit to those Essentials at the expense of other essentials. How will a kid learn that he has interest in science if he is never exposed to it. Only elite/financially well off kids will be able to learn about the history of our nation or about Biology.

After thinking about it.. I must say.. it is a 100% ignorant statement!

i hate that fake slip up also... it is so obvious when they do that with his name.Do you agree with Dennis Miller?
The ';slip'; on Obama is a cheap shot and not a particularly intelligent one which surprises me coming from Miller (his script writers are usually better than that :). The School idea actually isn't that bad. I would require civics as well. But limiting the curriculum to those things that every adult has to know is a better idea then offering a wide variety of under-budgeted poorly taught classes that might not ever be used.
denis miller hip and liberal in his SNL years and like most once he got rich then it all changed at least he's fairly up front about it, with his I got mine can't worry about yours attitude. but who cares he's irrelevant and hasn't been funny in years except when he thinks he's being the smartest guy in room which is funny because he's really just a legend in his mind.
I have to tell you that I immediately discount anything he says.

Perhaps that is unfair, but this is a guy who used to be a comedian, wasn't funny and has now re-emerged as some sort of political pundit.

Every time he speaks I feel like I lose a brain cell.
Well, it it actually caused kids to LEARN reading, writing and 'rithmetic...it would be an improvement.

I expect D. Miller was being sensationalist to make a point.

He is a pompous, 5' 1'; little wind bag who keeps getting less and less funny.
The Obama thing? No

The 3 r's? Sounds like a plan.
