Jon Stewart or Dennis Miller? Who do you think is smarter?

Dennis Miller was too much for the NFL and obviously out of place. But is he smarter than Jon Stewart?





Jon Stewart seems to take himself so seriously does he ever say things like this?

Dennis Miller is stupid, not funny, and pretty much a jerk from beginning to end.

They are both very funny. Miller is someone who has really surprised me by how often he is on Fox News. He is very keen and quick with words. He has an extensive vocabulary, and uses it. I think Jon Stewart is probably equally intelligent, but doesnt show it off so much. If you think about most comics that you see, they are all fairly intelligent. Even the one's who swear way too much. Most of them are also very serious people, who really study the art of comedy. They can all turn to writers at times, and some of them often write their own jokes, which was evident during the writer's strike. Still, I see people on here hating on both of them because they are left or right. It doesnt matter, both men are funny. Relax folks, laugh a little.
Jon Stewart. He's funnier and more in touch with what's going on. While he obviously slants towards the left he pokes fun at both the Democrats and Republicans.





Also, Jon Stewart constantly says The Daily Show is a fake news show, I wouldn't say he takes himself too seriously. Maybe you should watch The Daily Show more often.
Yeah, and Rush Limbaugh says he's just ';a harmless little fuzzball';.





Dennis Miller has strong convictions that he is advancing through comedy. If it was ONLY about comedy he wouldn't be so consistently right-wing. And if he was REALLY smart, instead of just dropping obscure references he'd figure out why right-wingism is WRONG.
firstly, Jon Stewart does say things like that. He continuously calls his show ';Fake News';.





There are different kinds of intelligence. Dennis is brilliant with words. Jon probably has a higher EQ (emotional intelligence). But I'd put them both in the 'superintelligent' category. They're both very quick.
John Stewart? He isn't even a comedian. If you remember during the writers strike he could not even do his show. At least Miller writes his own material.





I wonder, why does he use the name John Stewart when his real name is John Leibowitz? Is he ashamed of his Jewish heritage?

Miller is the smartest by far. Stewart does not know his limitations--he's a comedian like Miller, but he thinks he's a political wizard.
Miller is a one-sided hack, whereas Stewart goes after both sides although he does favor the Democrats.

Anyone with a Conservative mindset has more of a grip on reality than, say, a liberal.
Miller makes obscure references that no one gets, so he may be more high minded but I prefer Stewart. Plus Miller got all weird after 9/11.

Miller wasn't very funny to begin with. He's a dried up hack who had to turn to politics to stay in business.
Stewart is much funnier its not even a close call. Miller was only funny when he was on SNL with other people writing for him. These days he just seems angry and still makes those obscure jokes that only he finds funny.
