Whatever happened to Dennis Miller?

He used to so funny and intelligent.

Now he's become what he used to mock.Whatever happened to Dennis Miller?
He turned conservative and lost his sense of humor.Whatever happened to Dennis Miller?
He said himself that he grew up on 9/11.

Maybe the rest of you lefties could do the same.
he understood 9/11.... was changed by it...

he still mocks.... mocks well... and he is still funny.... the man definately has a way with turning a phrase...

you should watch, listen and try to really understand what he is saying....
Miller is now a bootlicker.
I don't think he was all that funny. He showed a lot of promise; but the words he used were way too complicated. I understood most of what he said (though he made references to history I had a lot of trouble with), but it took so long to decipher that I had lost the joke by the time I put it together. And on more than one occasion he used the wrong word and didn't make any sense whatsoever.

That is one of the major reasons to avoid being loquacious and/or verbose (use a lot of big words). No one understands you, sometimes not even yourself.

But as far as his switching sides from liberal to conservative. You'll often find as people get older they often switch. This isn't always true, but usually is. But I've looked at both sides, and they both have their strengths and weaknesses. It doesn't seem to be a matter of intelligence so much as experience.

Liberals tend to be idealistic. They believe that with hard work and reason humans can make a better life for everyone. That if you offer a hand up to the poor with welfare, that if you protect wildlife with various environmentally-aimed programs, that if you bring people together from all races/genders/beliefs; that everything will work out and we will all be better for it.

Conservatives usually know better than this, if only on a more subconscious level. They eventually realize that most people will just refuse to be helped. Many of those on welfare will just prefer to stay on welfare and complain how they are held down than to ever attempt to get themselves off of welfare (Not all, but most). Environment is great and all, but it raises prices on our groceries and slows us down economically on the global scale. And have you ever seen large groups of people get together even in their own gender/race/belief, much less with other groups that they don't identify with as well?

So Conservatives ';grow up'; by becoming more selfish. They say if everyone is going to take advantage of them anyway, why not put that effort into themselves and their children. ';Who cares what I say about this race/gender/belief, they say much worse about me all the time; and they often take advantage of my generosity too.'; Or, ';sure I like animals and trees, but I prefer to be able to afford to eat.';

It's not to say that Conservatives are worse, they aren't. They may be more selfish but they are also more realistic as a rule. Liberals believe in the possibility of a better world where everyone gets along in a more natural world; but really, do you ever see that happening without God stepping in?

Dennis Miller seems to be going over that divide and ';growing up.';
He talks faster now and he uses bigger words. That's why Libs can't understand him, which is good for them, because they're his main target.
He opened his eyes and whisked away the liberal Hollywood fog away from his face!
he moved North and they Had a terrible influence on him .damn Yankees
